Lucca
When we got to Lucca we were picked up by my Mum's cousin, Andrew. We walked from the train station, which is outside the city walls, to his apartment, which is inside the city walls. We walked around Lucca for a couple of days, then went to Florence for a day. Florence was great and we went to all the things great to see. There is a practice that if you rub the nose of the statue of a pig, then you will come back to Florence. We rubbed the nose, then went to a particularly beautiful church. After that I got the best ice-cream of the whole time while I have been away. We went back to Lucca. A couple of days later, we went to Pisa. We saw the leaning tower and got a great view of the city from there. We could see the soccer stadium from up there. A day later we went to see our friends that live in Pescia. When Dad was 9 he came to Pescia to visit them. Dad and Nicola, the son of my Nonnos friend, were playing soccer. The goals were between two pine trees. Nicola was goalkeeping and Dad was shooting. The first time Dad shot, he hit one of the pine trees. The second time, he hit the other one. Nicola yelled out to him, "Stop, stop, there isn't another tree!" It was great going there and seeing everybody.
