Ötzi is a mummified body that was found 92m from the Austrian border. Originally they thought it was Austrian territory so the Austrian scientists went and took him. They tried to determine what era he was from and they thought he went missing 30 or 40 years ago. They then found his other belongings and determined that he was 5000 years old. They call him Ötzi because he was found in the Ötz gorge. They discovered that he was from the Copper Age. It was then discovered that it was on Italian land, so they took him to Italy. He had a bow that was made out of ewe and arrows, the tip of the arrows made with deer antler. He had a hat, made out of wolf skin. He had wolf skin jacket and wolf skin shoes. They found out that he was murdered. They found the tip of an arrow in his shoulder, a cut through the bone between his index finger and his thumb. He also had a dent in the bone next to his right eye socket. They discovered he was in a fight and raised his hand up in form of defence and got the cut through the bone, probably by an axe. There wasn't any explanation for the dent next to the eye socket. They determined he was being hunted, which is why he took that path into the Ötz gorge. He was hit with an arrow from behind, in the shoulder. He then bled to death.
